Veronese folding chest of drawers

Veronese folding chest of drawers

Folding chest of drawers, of Venetian origin, Verona area, dating back to the very first part of the eighteenth century. The piece of furniture is characterized by the presence of the so-called "shoulders", described by the modulation of the upper segment of the side uprights, which frame the drop surface favoring its inclination. The dazzling pictorialism is the result of the skillful use of walnut root. The front is shaped like a crossbow, while the sides are straight. The whole thing rests on fratinated supports.

Useful restorations.
